Our client is a leading company in the coal producing industry. Its global presence builds on local organisations connected together by the strong worldwide business network. On behalf of our client, for the office close to St. Gallen we are currently recruiting a:
Accountant
Your responsibilities will therefore include, but are not limited to:
*In charge of all ledgers including fixed assets
*In charge of Year End closing for the Swiss entity:
-Reporting package to mother company and group auditors including tax
-Being first point of contact for auditors
-Prepare statutory accounts and overview tax filing
*In charge of monthly closing:
-Balance sheet and income statement review
-Variance analysis and system reconciliations
*Post and review payroll accounting which is done by HR
Our ideal candidate must have the following background and abilities:
*University degree in Economics/ Finance
*Very good knowledge of the Swiss commercial, tax and labour law, Swiss GAAP
*Several years of work experience in a relevant field, AP, AR experience would be an advantage
*Relevant knowledge in statutory accounting policies and creation of financial statements
*Excellent MS office, SAP and Hyperion skills
*Fluency in Russian and English is a must
*Fluency in German would be an advantage
*Excellent analytical skills, autonomous, pragmatic, great communication skills, proactive and a real team player
