Financial Reporting Analyst
Our client is a leading company in the aluminium industry. Its global presence builds on local organisations connected together by the strong worldwide business network. On behalf of our client, for the office close to Zurich we are currently recruiting a:
Financial Reporting Analyst
Your responsibilities will therefore include, but are not limited to:
Analyze technical (US GAAP/IFRS) accounting issues
Provide guidance to plant locations and value stream leaders
Conduct balance sheet reviews of plant and regional office financial accounts
Conduct SOX internal control testing at locations in Switzerland and Germany
Prepare Swiss GAAP statutory financial statements for the regional office and manufacturing facility
Manage various regional consolidation issues
Review monthly results to validate the accuracy of the monthly consolidation process
Analyze derivative accounting entries across the region
Prepare ad hoc financial analysis
Support corporate HQ and European manufacturing locations
Assist during the upcoming implementation of an integrated SAP environment
Our ideal candidate must have the following background and abilities:
University degree in Economics/ Finance & Accounting Certification
Several years of Big 4 audit experience
Some previous industry or corporate accounting experience would be helpful but not required
Very good knowledge of the Swiss commercial, tax and labour law, Swiss GAAP
Excellent MS office, SAP and Hyperion skills
Fluency in English, German is a must. French and Italian would be an advantage
Excellent analytical skills, autonomous, pragmatic, great communication skills, proactive and a real team player
