Our client is an international organisation with Headquarters in Zurich. With more than $6bn annual global sales they are the market leader in their field. Due to continued expansion and development they are now actively seeking to recruit for their Headquarters in Zurich a:
Tax Manager - Germany
Your responsibilities will therefore include, but are not limited to:
*Preparation of tax accounts, including the calculation of current and deferred taxes, and FIN 48 Accounting
*Tax reporting and mandatory reporting of direct reports (TMS, deferred taxes, interest cap, etc.)
*Preparation of all tax returns
*Development of tax planning strategies and executions
*Review of tax assessments
*Tax Forecasting (FIN18) including cash taxes
*Transfer pricing issues
*Participation in the annual accounts in accordance with German accounting principles, U.S. GAAP / IFRS with respect to both the trade balance and the fiscal balance
*Representing the company in all tax matters to the outside against the tax authorities, tax auditors, external consultants, such as Accountants and auditors, etc.
*Contact person for Germany for the internal tax and finance/controlling community
*Support tax planning initiatives across Europe supporting the European tax director
*Motivation, leadership and training of staff
Our ideal candidate must have the following background and abilities:
*At least five years of successful experience as generalist tax expert in an Industrial company and / or auditing firm
*Has relevant experience in German tax accounting
*Broad expertise in the field of sales, wages, earnings and income taxes, deferred income tax, corporation tax, energy tax, property transfer tax, contract tax etc.
*Has experience in tax reporting
*Is confident in dealing with German accounting principles, U.S. GAAP and IFRS
*Ideally knows SOX requirements
*Has a broad business management overall understanding
*Experience in customs issues is an advantage
