Operations Trader Support (h/f)

For our client, a dynamic trading company based in Geneva, we are actively looking a highly motivated Operations Trader Support professional to work closely with the trading team and operations units. This individual will play a critical role in coordinating and supporting trading operations across multiple regions, ensuring smooth execution from contract to delivery. The role requires someone with a strong understanding of trading and logistics processes, and the ability to grow into more responsibilities over time.

Key Responsibilities:

• Act as a key support person for the trading team, assisting with daily trade execution and follow-up.
• Coordinate across global operational hubs, particularly in Europe & the USA.
• Oversee and manage the end-to-end trade flow, including:
• Reviewing and assisting with sales contracts
• Liaising with customers on shipments and documentation
• Ensuring invoice accuracy and timely payments
• Coordinating with banks for amendments and financial documentation
• Collaborate with logistics and operations teams to ensure timely movement of goods.
• Maintain regular communication with internal teams and external partners to align on key deliverables.
• Proactively identify and resolve operational issues or delays.
• Provide support for compliance checks and reporting

Profile Requirements:

• Prior experience in an international trading company or logistics/operations department is preferred.
• Solid knowledge of trading and shipping workflows, documentation, and terminology.
• Strong academic background, with Swiss qualification is preferred.
• Strong coordination and organizational skills.
• Ability to work across time zones and teams.
• Proficient in Microsoft Office; familiarity with ERP or trading systems is a plus.
• Excellent communication skills in English & French (other languages are a plus).
• Willingness to learn and gradually take on more responsibilities in trading or operational decision-making.
