Senior Financial Analyst (M/F)
The main goal of this role is to comprehend financial data, conduct thorough analyses, offer insightful explanations to improve management decisions, and serve as a representative both internally and externally, while establishing connections with various subsidiaries and headquarters.
Main Responsibilities
- Assist in creating presentation materials for senior management.
- Develop and analyse management accounts and financial reports.
- Perform cash flow analysis and generate related reports.
- Contribute to budget development and analysis efforts.
- Support the processes of business planning, budgeting, and forecasting throughout the organisation.
- Lead or engage in various special projects; initiate and implement new projects relevant to the Desk.
- Lead or participate in system development projects focused on enhancing reporting capabilities.
- Provide information to other departments for both one-time and regular reporting needs, including support for business, trading, and Treasury in generating reports and analyses to inform management decisions.
- Act as the liaison between headquarters, especially the Economics Department, and the broader group.
Skills and Experience
- 3-6 years of experience as a financial analyst or management controller in a fast-paced international context.
- Valuable experience in commodity trading.
- Strong knowledge of SAP is required.
- Proficiency in PowerPoint and advanced Excel skills are necessary.
- Excellent understanding of accounting principles is essential.
- Knowledge of energy commodity trading is an advantage.
- Ability to manage stress and prioritise effectively by understanding the overall context and focusing on tasks with the highest value.
- Proficient in using spreadsheets and databases for data analysis.
- Capable of leveraging informal networks to gather data and insights.
- Ability to apply management accounting and economic concepts.
- Commitment to continuous learning about company products, markets, and processes.
- Competence in explaining the story behind financial figures with strong presentation and argumentation skills.
- A university degree in Finance, Economics, or a related field, with CFA, ACCA, CMA, or other financial professional credentials considered beneficial.
- Mandatory proficiency in both written and spoken English and Russian.
