Our client is a fast-growing international organization with a strong presence across Europe. The company operates in a highly dynamic and technology-driven sector, providing essential services that enable business continuity, connectivity, and innovation. With a collaborative and entrepreneurial culture, the company empowers its teams to take ownership, challenge the status quo, and contribute directly to its continued success and expansion across multiple European markets.

As Finance Director Switzerland, you will lead all finance-related activities for the Swiss business and act as a key business partner to the local management team. You will oversee financial operations, planning, and reporting processes while ensuring strategic alignment with Group Finance. This role combines hands-on operational execution with strategic financial leadership.

Based in Basel and reporting to the Managing Director Switzerland, you will play a central role in shaping the financial direction of the Swiss entity, supporting growth, profitability, and sound decision-making.

Key Responsibilities

  • Lead all financial operations for the Swiss entity, including accounting, reporting, controlling, and budgeting.
  • Act as a strategic sparring partner to the Swiss management team - going beyond the numbers to provide actionable insights that drive performance.
  • Prepare and present monthly management reports, financial analyses, and performance dashboards to both local and group management.
  • Collaborate closely with Group Finance and a Shared Service Center responsible for transactional accounting activities.
  • Drive continuous improvement of financial processes and ensure robust controls and governance.
  • Oversee statutory accounting, tax filings, audits, and compliance requirements.
  • Manage relationships with auditors, banks, and tax authorities.
  • Support the Managing Director and department heads with financial insights to guide operational and strategic decisions.

Your Profile

  • Bachelor’s or Master’s degree in Finance, Accounting, Economics, or a related field.
  • Minimum 10 years of progressive experience in finance, accounting, or controlling, ideally combining both operational and strategic exposure.
  • Strong analytical mindset - you’re curious about what’s behind the numbers.
  • Excellent communication and presentation skills, with the ability to influence and engage senior stakeholders.
  • Proven experience in an international and fast-paced environment.
  • Hands-on, pragmatic, and comfortable working both strategically and operationally.
  • Fluent in German and English (written and spoken).
