Senior Cloud & System Engineer

Our client, a leading software provider in financial services, is seeking a Senior Cloud & System Engineer to strengthen and evolve their IT infrastructure. This permanent role offers a strategic opportunity to drive cloud adoption, modernise systems, and shape infrastructure architecture within a high-performing and innovative organisation.

You will

• Design, implement, and manage hybrid IT infrastructure across Azure Cloud and on-prem Windows environments
• Lead or co-lead projects including cloud migrations, infrastructure modernization, and ITIL/CMDB initiatives
• Support internal systems and client-facing solutions across 1st, 2nd, and 3rd level support, with a focus on Microsoft technologies
• Act as deputy to the Team Lead, ensuring operational continuity and high-quality service delivery
• Evaluate and deploy new hardware, software, and cloud services
• Manage relationships with partners and vendors for hosting and cloud services
• Ensure compliance with ISO 27001 standards and Swiss data protection requirements

You bring

• 7+ years of experience as an IT System Engineer or Cloud Engineer, including part- or full-project leadership experience with experience in:
• Microsoft Azure (IaaS, PaaS, Azure Virtual Desktop, Entra ID, networking, security)
• Windows Server, Active Directory, M365, Intune, Exchange Online
• Automation and scripting with PowerShell, Bicep, or Terraform
• ITIL-based service management and CMDB tools
• Excellent communication skills in German and English, with experience collaborating with internal and external stakeholders
