An international company with a truly global footprint, present across the global with regional headquarters in Switzerland. In the market for developing and manufacturing high technology products for the Energy sector they are now seeking to hire a Legal Counsel(m/f) in Zurich. Essential to this role is your knowledge of Solar Energy projects and all legal topics pertaining to these.
Legal Counsel (m/f) - Energy
As Legal Counsel (m/f) supporting the EMEA business for this fast-paced company, you will work on a range of interesting legal issues and be a key member of the team. This role will have a high level of interaction with the regional markets and travel will be expected in Europe.
A full range of legal matters with a focus on project financing, M&A, SPA, EPC O&M and other supply agreements
Drafting, reviewing and negotiating commercial agreements and other legal documents for the EMEA market
Providing timely and business relevant commercial legal advice
Drafting and reviewing company policies
Regulatory and regional legal advice on a range of management related business topics
Internal training on a range of legal and regulatory topics
Management of external counsel where required
As a core member of the legal team you must be an experienced and astute Legal Counsel (m/f) with the ability to lead from a legal perspective on solar energy projects. You will have an international outlook and be accustomed to working across multiple markets.
Admitted to the bar in an EU jurisdiction with at least 4 years' experience as a lawyer, part of which will have been gained working in the solar energy industry
Demonstrable experience in international contracting law combined with significant and proven experience in project financing, supply agreements, EPC and M&A. Knowledge of Rooftop projects is highly desired.
Proven ability to handle complex and demanding legal projects
Fluency in English is a must, German and or Spanish language skills would be a plus
Highly motivated with a positive attitude
Happy to travel within Europe
