Legal Counsel

Our client, a global consumer goods player, is seeking a Legal Counsel to join their commercial legal team in Zurich. This role offers an opportunity to work across high-impact cross-border transactions while contributing to a purpose-driven organisation.

About the role

As Legal Counsel, you will play a key role in enabling the company’s global commercial operations. You will collaborate closely with teams such as Sales, Procurement, and Compliance, as well as with external stakeholders and partners.

You will:

• Draft, negotiate, and review sophisticated commercial contracts across various jurisdictions.

• Advise on procurement and supplier arrangements, ensuring regulatory alignment and effective risk management.

• Contribute to business objectives by improving legal templates and frameworks and guiding strategic operational decisions.

• Take part in major negotiations and support the resolution of commercial disputes and claims.

• Oversee legal workstreams within strategic initiatives while maintaining strong ethical and professional standards.

This role is well suited to a legal professional looking to operate across borders and sectors in a collaborative, international setting.

About the candidate

To thrive in this position, you will have 4–8 years of post-qualification experience, ideally combining private practice and in-house exposure within international contexts.

You bring:

• A law degree and bar admission in Switzerland

• Solid expertise in commercial and contract law, particularly in negotiation and cross-border matters

• Excellent communication skills, enabling you to advise internal teams and engage effectively with external partners

• A pragmatic, business-focused approach with the ability to balance risk management and commercial objectives

• An openness to legal technology, innovation, and evolving industry practices
