Senior Legal Counsel

Our client, a leading international company in the industrial sector, is seeking a Senior Legal Counsel to join its in-house legal team. This is a broad, commercially focused generalist role supporting a complex and fast-moving business.

Key responsibilities:

• Drafting, reviewing and negotiating a wide range of commercial contracts (supplier, customer, distribution, framework and service agreements)
• Advising on corporate and governance matters, including board support, internal policies and compliance frameworks
• Providing guidance on regulatory, compliance and risk management issues relevant to an industrial environment
• Managing and coordinating external counsel where required
• Working closely with finance, procurement, operations, HR and senior leadership as a true business partner
• Contributing to the ongoing development and improvement of the legal function and internal processes

Your qualifications:

• A qualified lawyer (Swiss or EU qualification preferred) with 8+ years’ PQE
• A background in private practice and/or in-house, ideally with exposure to industrial, manufacturing, engineering or energy-related businesses
• Strong experience in commercial contracts and general corporate law
• Fluent in German and English; additional languages are a plus
• The ability to provide practical, solution-driven advice in a fast-paced business environment
• Confidence working with senior stakeholders and navigating complex, cross-border issues
• A proactive, hands-on and commercially minded approach
