A challenging Compliance Officer role has just become available at one of the largest commodity trading firms worldwide.
This established company has more than 100'000 employees worldwide. They are active in the marketing and industrial business segments and produce over 60 commodities. The company is committed to establish a low-carbon economy and has already reduced emissions intensity considerably.
About the Compliance Officer role:
The company is looking for someone to support the development, maintenance and oversight of a best-in-class anti-corruption and bribery programme. In this role you will report to the Global Head of Anti-Corruption and Bribery and continuously look for ways to improve the effectiveness of the programme.
Key Responsibilities:
- Leading the compliance process in the context of joint ventures and mergers and acquisitions
- Providing advice on and negotiating compliance clauses in the context of joint ventures and mergers and acquisitions documentation
- Exposure to other business functions with a compliance nexus, including Sustainability and Human Rights
- Working on the implementation and enhancement of compliance policies, procedures, tools, and systems controls
- Developing and providing compliance training to the business and Compliance team members globally
To succeed in the role of Compliance Officer you need to have experience in managing a team and interacting with various stakeholders.
Key Requirements:
- Law Degree from a top tier university
- 6 years of professional experience as a qualified lawyer
- Experience in the following areas would be desirable:
- JV/M&A including the compliance due diligence process, acquisition, and integration
- ACB advisory experience in disputes / investigations - Fluent in English; other language skills would be a bonus, but not essential
- Experience in working in an exciting and fast changing environment
- Holder of a Swiss work permit or CH / EU passport holder
