About the role

• Legal support for complex cross-border M&A transactions, including stock deals, joint ventures, reinsurance transactions, and portfolio transfers;

• Advice on management and mitigation of legal, regulatory and reputational risks;

• Advice on legal issues and implications of business initiatives and strategic support to the senior management;

• Proactively identify legal issues with business-wide impact and provide pragmatic solutions.

About the candidate

• Law degree and Bar Exam;

• At least 6 years of experience in a law firm and/or legal department of a complex enterprise, with strong M&A focus;

• Knowledge of business and accounting, as well as legal aspects related to cross-border transactional work;

• Able to communicate effectively and present solutions in an efficient manner;

• Able to be proactive, autonomous, with a solution-oriented and think out of the box mindset, as well as a team player;

• Able to handle multiple tasks, while meeting deadlines and ability to work under pressure;

• Fluency in English; German knowledge preferred yet not a must; other languages are a plus.
