Application Security Architect

Key Responsibilities:

• Conduct comprehensive security assessments and penetration testing of applications and cloud environments to identify vulnerabilities and areas for improvement.
• Collaborate with development, operations, and architecture teams to integrate security best practices into the application lifecycle, from design through deployment.
• Develop, implement, and maintain security architecture for applications and cloud platforms, ensuring alignment with industry standards and regulatory requirements.
• Design and enforce security policies, procedures, and guidelines to protect sensitive data and maintain compliance with relevant frameworks and regulations.
• Perform risk assessments and threat modeling to proactively identify potential security threats and recommend mitigation strategies.
• Lead incident response efforts for application and cloud security incidents, ensuring timely resolution and post-incident analysis.
• Stay up-to-date with the latest security trends, technologies, and threats, and provide recommendations for continuous improvement of security posture.
• Collaborate with business units to understand their processes and requirements, aligning security initiatives with business goals and objectives.
• Assist in the development and maintenance of security documentation, including security architecture diagrams, risk assessments, and security policies.

Profile:

• Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science, Information Technology, Cybersecurity, or a related field. A Master’s degree is a plus.
• Proven experience (3+ years) in application security, cloud security, or a related field.
• Strong knowledge of security frameworks and standards such as OWASP, NIST, ISO 27001, and CSA.
• Experience with cloud platforms (e.g., AWS, Azure, Google Cloud) and their security features and tools.
• Proficiency in security assessment tools and methodologies, including static and dynamic analysis, code review, and vulnerability scanning.
• Familiarity with DevSecOps practices and tools for integrating security into continuous integration and delivery pipelines.
• Strong analytical and problem-solving skills with the ability to think like an attacker.
• Excellent communication skills, with the ability to convey complex security concepts to technical and non-technical stakeholders.
• Relevant security certifications such as CISSP, CISM, CEH are highly desirable.
• A proactive and adaptable mindset, with a strong commitment to continuous learning and improvement.
• Fluent English.
