Finance Reporting & Transformation Controller (Interim)
Start Date: July 2026 Duration: 6 months The Opportunity We are supporting a leading organisation in the transportation and logistics sector in the search for an experienced Management Reporting & Transformation Controller. This assignment combines ownership of an established reporting process with a broader mandate to review, standardise, and improve reporting activities. The successful candidate will play a key role in ensuring business continuity while assessing existing reporting requirements, driving process improvements, and identifying opportunities for automation and greater efficiency. This is an excellent opportunity for a hands-on finance professional who enjoys combining operational delivery with transformation and process improvement.
Key Responsibilities
- Take ownership of an existing investor reporting process and manage knowledge transfer from the current process owner.
- Deliver monthly, quarterly, and annual reporting activities, ensuring accuracy and consistency of reporting outputs.
- Review reporting requirements and help establish a clear baseline between contractual obligations and existing reporting practices.
- Assess current reporting processes, controls, and workflows, identifying opportunities for improvement.
- Lead initiatives to standardise, simplify, and automate reporting processes, reducing reliance on manual activities.
- Collaborate with Finance, Operations, and other key stakeholders to improve reporting efficiency and governance.
- Develop sustainable reporting frameworks, controls, and process documentation to support future operations.
Your Profile
- 5+ years of experience in Controlling, FP&A, Finance Transformation, Reporting, Audit, or Process Improvement roles.
- Strong reporting, analytical, and reconciliation skills with a hands-on approach.
- Proven experience improving, standardising, or transforming finance and reporting processes.
- Strong stakeholder management and communication skills, with the confidence to challenge existing ways of working constructively.
- Comfortable taking ownership of deliverables and working independently within a changing environment.
- Advanced Excel skills and experience working with SAP S/4HANA reporting environments.
- Experience with BI and reporting tools such as Power BI, Superset, or similar is advantageous.
- Fluent English is required; German and/or French would be beneficial.
