Platform Engineer

This role centers on building and maintaining a robust, scalable platform that supports cyber training applications within a high-trust environment. You will be responsible for architecting and supporting a reliable, secure infrastructure platform to host critical cyber training systems. Your work ensures that all development, testing, and production environments run smoothly and are well connected via required networking setups.

You will:

• Develop and maintain automation scripts to support platform components and services
• Ensure the platform remains stable, secure, and high-performing by identifying and addressing potential issues early
• Manage infrastructure resources using virtualisation and container technologies such as Proxmox, VMware, KVM, Docker, and Kubernetes
• Work closely with cross-functional teams to ensure platform operations align with service standards and SLA requirements
• Operate within a specialised, high-security unit contributing to critical national infrastructure

The ideal profile includes:

• A degree in Computer Science, Engineering, or related STEM discipline
• Proven experience in platform or infrastructure engineering, ideally with a focus on virtualisation and container orchestration
• Hands-on skills with Proxmox, VMware, KVM, Docker, and Kubernetes
• Strong scripting or automation capabilities
• Comfortable working in a secure environment with stringent compliance requirements
• Fluent English; French or German is a big plus
• EU/EFTA citizenship or valid Swiss work permit
