Software Engineer

Location: Zurich or remote (UTC / UTC+1 / UTC+2) Tech stack: TypeScript, NestJS; React, Redux, HTML5, CSS3; Kafka, WebSockets; PostgreSQL, Redis; OpenAPI, AsyncAPI; Docker, AWS EKS, Kong; Nx Monorepo, Git Submodules Our client is a fast-growing fintech scale-up headquartered in Zürich, focused on building the infrastructure behind modern trading platforms. Reporting to the CTO, the role sits within a distributed engineering team across EU time zones, with the option of hybrid work from their centrally located Zürich office.

You will:

• Design and implement robust full-stack applications using Node.js, React, and NestJS
• Lead backend service development with TypeScript, PostgreSQL, and Kafka
• Collaborate on architectural decisions for microservices and event-driven systems
• Contribute to DevOps workflows using Docker, CI/CD, and container orchestration tools
• Support API design and documentation aligned with OpenAPI standards

You bring:

• 5+ years of full-stack development experience, with a backend focus
• Deep knowledge of TypeScript, React, NestJS, Kafka, PostgreSQL, and Redis
• Excellent communication skills in English
• Educational background in STEM, or equivalent certifications
