We are currently supporting an international industrial company in the Aarau area that is going through an important period of organisational and reporting transformation. To strengthen the finance function during this phase, we are looking for an experienced Finance Manager who can step in quickly, take ownership and bring structure to a broad accounting and reporting agenda.

This is a hands-on interim assignment for someone who enjoys getting into the detail, solving problems independently and making an immediate impact.

  • Prepare and coordinate monthly and statutory reporting under US GAAP
  • Support group reporting, forecasting and management reporting
  • Manage and coordinate VAT and tax-related activities, including collaboration with external advisors
  • Take responsibility for general ledger accounting, journal entries, account reconciliations and intercompany activities
  • Support cash management, accounts receivable and accounts payable processes
  • Maintain project accounting and support controlling activities, including project capitalization, margin analysis and variance analysis
  • Review inventory, revenue and cost-related topics, including cut-off and product costing
  • Support SOX controls and internal/external audits
  • Work closely with the Finance Lead and provide additional capacity across accounting and reporting
  • Collaborate with an international shared service centre and help ensure effective processes and controls
  • Identify process gaps, investigate root causes and implement practical improvements
  • Contribute to ongoing finance transformation and reporting changes
  • Support ad-hoc finance and business projects as required

Your profile

  • Several years of experience in international accounting
  • Strong hands-on knowledge of general ledger accounting and month-end/year-end closing
  • Solid experience with US GAAP
  • Good knowledge of Swiss VAT and ideally international VAT matters
  • Experience with SOX controls and audit coordination
  • Exposure to controlling, reporting and/or project accounting
  • Strong Excel skills and confidence working with ERP and reporting systems
  • Fluent German and English communication skills
  • A structured, analytical and solution-oriented approach
  • The ability to prioritise effectively across multiple topics and deadlines
  • A hands-on mentality and willingness to dig into complex or unresolved issues
  • The maturity and confidence to operate independently without extensive supervision
  • Bachelor's degree in Finance/Accounting or Swiss federal qualification (eidg. Fachausweis) is preferred. Previous Big 4 experience would be an advantage.
