Senior Accountant - Asset Management / Real Estate

On behalf of a leading Swiss Asset Management company, we are looking for an experienced Senior Accountant to join its team in Crissier. You will independently manage the full accounting cycle for a portfolio of real estate funds and operating companies, working closely with the Finance management team in a dynamic and growing environment.

Senior Accountant - Asset Management / Real Estate

On behalf of a well-established Swiss company operating in Asset Management and alternative investments, we are looking for an experienced Senior Accountant to strengthen its Finance team in Crissier.

Reporting directly to Finance management, you will take full ownership of the accounting for a portfolio of real estate funds and operating companies.

You will join a close-knit team in a growing and dynamic environment, with significant autonomy and regular interaction with both internal and external stakeholders.

Your responsibilities:

• Manage the full accounting cycle for a portfolio of funds and operating companies;
• Maintain the general ledger and prepare accounting and closing entries;
• Perform monthly and quarterly closings and related reconciliations;
• Prepare quarterly and annual financial statements;
• Manage payments and invoicing;
• Review and analyse property management statements relating to real estate funds;
• Contribute to semi-annual and annual reporting;
• Prepare documentation and financial information for external audits;
• Prepare VAT returns and tax declarations and handle withholding tax matters;
• Manage several entities and deadlines simultaneously;
• Work closely with Finance management and various internal and external stakeholders.

Your profile:

• Swiss Federal Diploma in Finance and Accounting or an equivalent qualification;
• At least 5 years of professional accounting experience, ideally within a large company, fiduciary firm or financial environment;
• Strong knowledge of Swiss accounting and proven ability to independently manage the full accounting cycle;
• Very good knowledge of Swiss Code of Obligations (CO) and Swiss GAAP FER;
• Solid experience with financial closings, reconciliations, VAT, taxation and audit preparation;
• Previous exposure to fund accounting, real estate, Asset Management or multi-entity accounting would be a strong advantage;
• Good command of a recognised ERP system; experience with Abacus would be an advantage;
• Fluent French and good command of English; German would be an asset;
• Dynamic and communicative personality with a high degree of autonomy and attention to detail;
• Strong organisational skills and the ability to manage multiple priorities and deadlines in a demanding environment.
