Financial Controller

Our client is an international, asset-intensive organisation looking to strengthen its Finance team with a commercially minded finance professional who enjoys combining financial controlling with investment analysis. This is a unique opportunity to work at the intersection of operational finance, strategic decision-making and capital investment, partnering closely with senior stakeholders across the business.

Your responsibilities


  • Prepare budgets, forecasts and long-term financial planning models.
  • Analyse operational and financial performance, providing meaningful insights to support business decisions.
  • Monitor capital expenditure (CapEx) and investment performance through regular reporting and financial analysis.
  • Review financial data, identify inconsistencies and ensure the integrity of management reporting.
  • Prepare business cases and financial analyses to support investment decisions.
  • Develop valuation models, cash flow forecasts and profitability analyses for strategic projects.
  • Prepare high-quality financial presentations and investment materials for senior management.
  • Act as a trusted business partner, challenging assumptions and providing constructive financial input to improve investment decisions.
  • Collaborate closely with Finance, Commercial and Operational teams on strategic initiatives.


Your profile


  • Degree in Finance, Accounting, Economics or a related discipline.
  • Around 5+ years of relevant experience in Financial Controlling, FP&A, Transaction Services, Corporate Finance, Valuation or a similar analytical finance role.
  • Experience with financial modelling, valuation techniques and investment analysis.
  • Strong understanding of budgeting, forecasting and management reporting.
  • Commercial mindset with the confidence to challenge assumptions and influence stakeholders.
  • Excellent analytical and communication skills.
  • Fluent English is essential.
