Our client is an international, acquisitive organisation with a decentralised operating model and a strong focus on growth. As Finance Controller, you will take ownership of financial planning, performance analysis and management reporting across several entities, while acting as a trusted finance partner to senior stakeholders across the business.

The role combines controlling, business partnering, financial governance and M&A-related activities, offering broad exposure in an international environment.

What You’ll Be Doing

  • Lead the budgeting, forecasting and financial planning cycle for multiple entities
  • Prepare and develop monthly, quarterly and annual financial reporting in accordance with IFRS
  • Analyse financial performance, identify key variances and translate findings into clear recommendations for management
  • Develop meaningful management information, KPIs and reporting tools to support business performance
  • Partner closely with senior business stakeholders on financial matters, investment decisions and business cases
  • Provide financial analysis and scenario modelling to support strategic and operational decision-making
  • Work closely with local finance teams as well as central functions such as Finance, Legal and HR
  • Prepare concise financial information and recommendations for senior management
  • Contribute to the continuous improvement of finance processes, controls and reporting structures
  • Support internal and external audits and ensure compliance with relevant policies and requirements
  • Play an active role in acquisition-related activities, including financial due diligence and the integration of newly acquired businesses
  • Evaluate financial aspects of potential acquisitions and support post-merger integration activities
  • Identify opportunities to improve processes through digitalisation, automation and new technologies


What You Bring

  • University degree in Finance, Accounting, Controlling, Business Administration or a comparable discipline
  • Alternatively, a relevant professional qualification such as CIMA, ACCA or a Swiss controlling/accounting qualification
  • At least3 years of professional experience in controlling, financial controlling or financial accounting, ideally with exposure to group structures
  • Strong Excel skills and a solid understanding of accounting principles and financial data
  • Good knowledge of IFRS and experience working with financial reporting
  • A structured and analytical approach, combined with strong commercial awareness
  • The ability to understand complex financial information and communicate it clearly to non-finance stakeholders
  • A proactive, hands-on mindset and the confidence to challenge existing processes and propose improvements
  • Strong communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to collaborate effectively across functions and countries
  • Fluent German and good English skills
