Senior Real Estate Investment & Asset Manager

Save job

An established, privately owned real estate group is looking to strengthen its investment and asset management capabilities with the appointment of a Senior Real Estate Investment & Asset Manager.

Working closely with the CFO and senior management, you will play an important role in understanding the financial performance and value of the group's real estate portfolio. You will take responsibility for asset-level financial analysis, valuations, modelling and reporting, while contributing to investment decisions and the ongoing development of the portfolio.

This is a broad, hands-on position offering exposure to different asset types and the opportunity to take ownership of financial and commercial topics across the real estate lifecycle.

Your responsibilities

  • Asset valuation & financial analysis: Analyse the financial performance and underlying value of individual properties, reviewing valuation assumptions, market benchmarks, rental income, yields, operating costs and future cash flows. Contribute to the annual property valuation process.
  • Financial modelling & planning: Develop and maintain detailed financial models for individual assets, including budgets, business plans, rental projections, liquidity forecasts and scenario analyses.
  • Asset strategy & value creation: Identify opportunities to enhance asset performance and value. Provide financial input into decisions concerning the development, retention, refinancing or disposal of properties.
  • Financing & institutional reporting: Prepare financial analyses, documentation and reporting for lenders and financing partners. Ensure that asset-level information, financial KPIs and supporting documentation meet the expectations of institutional stakeholders.
  • Transactions & due diligence: Support acquisition and disposal processes, coordinating financial information and due diligence requirements. Help ensure that data rooms and transaction documentation are accurate, complete and well organised.
  • Commercial & legal considerations: Monitor relevant contractual and financing obligations, rental agreements and asset-related budgets. Apply your understanding of the Swiss real estate market and tenancy framework to support sound financial and commercial decisions.
  • Market intelligence: Follow developments in the real estate market, including rental levels, valuation approaches and investment benchmarks, bringing relevant insights into discussions around the portfolio's direction.

Your background

  • Around 5–8 years of relevant experience in real estate investment, asset management, property finance, valuation or real estate transaction advisory.
  • A solid understanding of the financial and commercial drivers of real estate assets, including rental income, leases, property cash flows, yields and valuation methodologies.
  • Strong financial modelling capabilities and advanced Excel skills, with the ability to independently build, maintain and critically assess asset-level models.
  • Experience preparing investment analyses, budgets, forecasts, business plans and financing or lender documentation.
  • Familiarity with real estate transactions and due diligence processes, as well as the contractual and legal considerations surrounding property ownership and leasing.
  • A good understanding of the Swiss real estate market and relevant tenancy legislation.
  • Excellent German and English skills; Italian would be an advantage.
  • A degree in Real Estate, Finance, Economics, Business Administration or a related discipline.

Your profile

You combine strong analytical capabilities with a practical understanding of the real estate business. You are comfortable working through complex financial details, but equally able to step back and understand the wider commercial implications for an asset or the portfolio as a whole.

You take ownership of your work, approach problems with curiosity and are confident working with different internal and external stakeholders. You are also keen to broaden your expertise, challenge existing assumptions and develop further within a growing real estate environment.

The opportunity

You will join a well-established, entrepreneurial business where you can work closely with the CFO and senior management and have a direct influence on financial and investment decisions.

The position offers considerable breadth and responsibility, with the opportunity to further develop your expertise in real estate investment, asset valuation, financing and portfolio strategy.
