Within a young, international team and during an ongoing post-merger integration, you will cover Trade Finance, In-House Bank and Treasury Systems activities. This role is ideal for an accurate treasury professional with trade finance exposure who is available immediately.
Key Responsibilities:
- Act as backup to the Trade Finance Officer: execute Letters of Credit, guarantees and other trade finance transactions, and provide full cover during absences.
- Coordinate with banks, counterparties and internal stakeholders to ensure timely execution; track and report on trade finance instruments daily.
- Manage monthly trade finance processes, including reconciliations, validations, fee administration and accounting accruals.
- Execute and control inter-company funding, settlements and reconciliations within the In-House Bank, including month-end close activities with Accounting.
- Support the day-to-day operation of the Treasury Management System, including interfaces, data flows and reporting, and resolve system issues together with IT.
- Manage the Corporate Card Programme, including issuance, maintenance and cancellation of cards, monthly statements and usage reporting.
- Maintain strong controls, segregation of duties and clear documentation to ensure audit readiness.
- Contribute to the treasury post-merger integration by documenting processes, harmonising ways of working and supporting automation initiatives.
About You:
- 2–4 years of experience in Treasury, Treasury Operations, Trade Finance, Banking Operations or a related finance function.
- Solid understanding of trade finance instruments and monthly settlement processes.
- Experience with In-House Bank processes, intercompany settlements and treasury controls.
- Hands-on experience with a Treasury Management System and good knowledge of SWIFT connectivity and e-banking platforms.
- Bachelor’s or Master’s degree in Finance, Accounting, Economics or a related field.
- Available to start immediately and able to commit for the full assignment until the end of April 2027, including the busy year-end period.
- Highly accurate, proactive and hands-on, with a positive attitude and the agility to integrate quickly into a young, diverse team.
- Fluent English; German is a plus.
Preferred Qualifications:
- Trade finance experience within the oil & gas or commodity trading sector.
- Experience with IT2 (TMS) and/or Komgo.
- Participation in treasury automation or process optimisation projects.
Why Join?
This role offers the opportunity to gain broad treasury exposure within a growing international energy group during an exciting integration phase. You will join a young, international team and help build stable, scalable treasury processes. The role is primarily office-based.
