Compliance Manager 3-4 Months

We are looking for a Compliance Manager to support a Private Bank in Zurich for 3 to 4 months, starting asap.

About the role:

  • Perform day-to-day Financial Crime Compliance (FCC) activities within a Wealth Management environment.
  • Review and investigate transaction monitoring alerts, identifying and escalating suspicious activity where appropriate.
  • Conduct sanctions and adverse media screening reviews for clients, counterparties, and transactions.
  • Review and approve payments in line with internal policies, regulatory requirements, and delegated authority limits.
  • Support AML/KYC-related investigations and provide recommendations on financial crime risks.
  • Analyze and document transaction patterns, risk indicators, and escalation outcomes.
  • Ensure timely resolution of compliance alerts and exceptions while maintaining high-quality documentation standards.
  • Liaise with Front Office, Operations, Risk, and Compliance stakeholders regarding financial crime-related matters.
  • Assist with regulatory reporting, internal audits, and remediation activities where required.
  • Support the existing Compliance team (3 FTE) in managing workload peaks and maintaining BAU operations.

About the candidate:

  • Minimum 5 years of relevant experience in Compliance, Financial Crime, AML, or FCC within Wealth Management, Private Banking.
  • Strong practical experience in transaction monitoring, sanctions screening, and payment review/approval processes.
  • Sound knowledge of Swiss AML regulations and financial crime compliance frameworks.
  • Ability to independently investigate, assess, and document financial crime risks.
  • Hands-on, execution-focused professional who is comfortable managing operational compliance activities.
  • Strong analytical skills with excellent attention to detail.
  • Ability to work efficiently in a fast-paced environment and prioritise competing demands.
  • Fluent in German and English (written and spoken).
  • Available on-site in Zurich and able to contribute immediately with minimal onboarding.
