Senior Finance Business Partner

A dynamic and internationally active industrial group is seeking a Senior Finance Business Partner to lead financial operations for one of their business units. This is a high-impact leadership role, reporting directly to the Group CFO, offering broad exposure across both strategic and operational finance in a global manufacturing environment.

The Opportunity

In this role, you will act as the financial lead, partnering closely with executive leadership to drive profitability, operational efficiency, and commercial excellence. You will blend classic controlling with business partnering responsibilities, helping to shape the future of the unit while maintaining strong financial discipline.

Key Responsibilities

• Lead finance for a newly integrated business unit
• Act as a strategic and commercial sparring partner to the CFO and business leadership
• Oversee margin analysis, pricing review of service contracts, and cost optimization initiatives
• Drive budgeting, forecasting, and monthly reporting
• Support transformation, integration, and centralization of reporting processes
• Collaborate cross-functionally with service, operations, and manufacturing teams
• Challenge the status quo constructively and propose actionable solutions
• Maintain a clear view of day-to-day financial performance while supporting long-term strategy

Your Profile

• Proven experience as a Business Unit Controller, Senior Finance Business Partner, or similar
• Industry exposure to manufacturing or industrial services
• Strong understanding of service-based revenue models and multi-site structures
• Experience working in a listed company and navigating financial complexity
• Hands-on and entrepreneurial mindset; proactive and pragmatic leadership style
• Strong commercial acumen with the ability to balance strategic thinking and operational execution
• Fluent in German and English
• Degree in Finance, Accounting, or Business; or strong financial experience gained from the business side
