Trading Operator - soft commodities (M/F)

The Operator/Senior Operator will be part of team of 4 and will be reporting to the Team lead

Main Responsibilities

• Issuance of sale and purchase contracts.
• Execution of purchase and sale contracts
• Vessel nomination and appropriation
• Daily contact with inspection, local agents, service providers and vendors and customers
• Shipments and stocks follow-up
• Prepare and check letters of credit and ensure follow-up of documentary presentation
• Demurrage and lay time calculation
• Issue and control customer invoices
• Book, control and validate for payment vendors invoices
• Daily update and fill the internal files and ERP
• Results follow up and costs reconciliation with Trading and Accounting
• Support the team lead with the implementation of short or medium tools / strategies

Candidate profile

• Bachelor’s degree / Master’s degree graduate with a minimum of 5 years in a similar role
• Fluent in English and French (written & spoken). Any other language is considered an advantage
• Knowledge of the West African countries is considered as a plus.
• Very proactive with strong ability to face pressure, respect deadlines be self-motivated
• Excellent analytical and problem-solving skills
• Dynamic, flexible, organised and eager to take the extra mile
• Strong business application skills (e.g., Microsoft Excel, Word, Microsoft PowerPoint)
• Living in the region (Lausanne, Riviera, La Côte) would be a strong plus
