Junior Compliance & Controls Officer (70–80%) - Basel

Start Date: ASAP (latest 1 August 2026) Location: Basel, Switzerland Workload: 70–80% (100% not available) Home Office: Up to 1 day per week after onboarding and successful integration Contract: Initial 6-month contract with strong potential for extension/permanent employment

About the role:

• Execute and document internal compliance controls
• Support the maintenance and development of the firm's Internal Control Plan
• Analyse compliance-related data and prepare reports
• Assist with the digitalisation and optimisation of existing paper-based processes
• Maintain and update records within the portfolio management and CRM system
• Support AML and KYC reviews and documentation checks
• Review client documentation and ensure completeness of files
• Coordinate with Relationship Managers and internal departments regarding compliance requirements
• Assist with regulatory and internal monitoring activities
• Contribute to compliance projects and process improvement initiatives

About the candidate:

• Native-level German (spoken and written)
• Good English communication skills
• Initial experience in Compliance, AML/KYC, Operations, Risk, Internal Controls, Banking, Asset Management, or a related field
• Strong administrative and organisational skills
• Good analytical and technical aptitude
• Comfortable working with systems, databases, and structured processes
• Reliable, detail-oriented, and able to handle repetitive tasks with accuracy
• Strong team player with excellent interpersonal skills
• Available to start ASAP, and no later than 1 August 2026

Nice to have:

• Experience with AML/KYC processes
• Exposure to Internal Controls or Compliance Monitoring
• Experience in private banking, wealth management, or independent asset management
• Knowledge of portfolio management or CRM systems
• Interest in process automation and digitalisation projects
