Legal Counsel Family Office

We are looking for a Legal Counsel to join a Single Family Office in Zurich.

About the role:

• Advise on complex international structures and predominantly non-Swiss assets.
• Focus on trusts, international structuring, regulatory matters and compliance, with Trust expertise being the key priority.
• Advise on US, Swiss and offshore structures, including trusts, SPVs and international companies.
• Work closely with external international law firms, providing senior-level oversight and challenging advice where appropriate.
• Support on investment-related legal matters, including fund investments and due diligence, although M&A and transactional work are not the primary focus.
• Hands-on, non-hierarchical environment, without responsibility for managing the wider legal function.

About the candidate:

• 10+ years of relevant legal experience, ideally with a US or Anglo-Saxon law background.
• US Bar qualification preferred, with strong experience in US assets and/or coordination with US law firms also highly relevant.
• Strong expertise in trust law and international structures; offshore and US trust experience is particularly valuable.
• Experience with regulatory, KYC, UBO and privacy considerations would be advantageous.
• Ideally from a leading law firm, with senior associate / partner-track profiles particularly relevant.
• Commercial and pragmatic, with a solution-oriented approach to regulatory constraints and the ability to balance legal risk with the needs of the business.
• Fluent in English; Swiss or European experience and some German would be advantageous.
• Collaborative, intellectually curious and willing to develop expertise in adjacent areas where required.
